Principal's Message

I am extremely pleased at the launch of a webpage of library and information center, Kendriya Vidyalaya Dwarka Sector-5 (Shift- II) initiated by Mrs. Monika Gupta, Librarian.

The School library acts as a centre of academic and intellectual development for our students. The school library program serves to instill a love of reading, inspire life-long learning, and foster independent library use.

Our library is an inviting space where students may acquire knowledge and gain insight; a welcoming haven where children may seek respite from a demanding day; a stimulating place where they may open books and open their minds for a better tomorrow.

The library subscribes to periodicals, journals and newspapers. Care has been taken to ensure books are available for various age levels with a good mix of Fiction, Non-fiction, Classics, books on value education and Science and others.

I hope it promotes healthy reading habits among learners.

Vice Principal's Message

This site becomes a knowledge hub of all students and encourages the reading habit among the student community and the teaching fraternity of KVS.

Education is the most important learning in a man’s life. An educated man is never a failure. He has the confidence and courage to experiment and excel in life. He is self-motivated as he is learned and he is never threatened by challenges. Education enables you to aim for stars and create success stories. It is not always academics that define knowledge but the development of your being is equally important.

School libraries have a positive impact on student achievement. Our library exists to provide a range of learning opportunities for both large and small groups as well as individuals with a focus on intellectual content, information literacy, and the learner.

The school library serves as a place for students to do independent work, use computers, equipment and research materials. It serves as the center and coordinating agency for all materials used in the school. We have many books and periodicals and journals to enrich the vocabulary of our students.
